The coastal town of San Diego experienced its’ first Annual Home Expo this May.

It was held by the San Diego Association of Realtors and San Diego County’s Building Industry Association. This was one of a kind event and worked as a hallmark in the real estate industry of San Diego County.

The main goal of The Annual Home Expo was to inform the consumers about the most important and relevant information that they should know before they buy or sell a new home. But the Expo was not just about sharing information for the consumers; it will also house outlets where a proud home owner can get information about maintaining and upgrading their current home. The Expo was not only focused towards the consumers but also the real estate professionals and hence there is going to be a few activities which are going to help the professionals in this field.

For the buyers, there were seminars where speakers from various renowned real estate advisory companies and real estate consulting firms presented various guidelines and shared information. There were seminars on how to assess the market and when to actually sign a deal with ideal market conditions. Some people might think that the real estate agents may be swindling the buyers but there was a session about the advantages of contacting an agent. This particular seminar given an unbiased view on what the buyer might gain from having a Realtor by their side while buying a home.

There was a seminar for first time buyers in the San Diego market and apparently the seats were all booked for this particular seminar. This showed how keen people are to own property in San Diego County. And there was also going to information sessions about the Home Owner’s Associations and what the buyers need to know before buying a condo.

For the people who are interested to sell their property, there were several seminars on how to effectively make a sale. Being successful in a sale depends on many factors and these seminars highlighted those aspects and give them a new perspective so that sellers can have a successful sale. Some of the topics focused home staging tips, refinancing advice, problems with mortgage and how to prevent an accident before it happens. For the most part, home staging tips seems to be the most sought after sessions as because the seats are almost all booked. Another big and relatively new factor that would be focused on one of the seminars is the environmental factor. The costs that are involved the pros and cons and of course the big question, should people go Green or not, these are the issues that will be addressed in this particular session.

Overall The San Diego Home Expo 2008 on the 10th of May proved to be a huge event for both the consumers and the professionals in the real estate market. The impact of this Expo will most definitely boost the economy of San Diego by enhancing the knowledge of the players in this market thus improving the real estate sector as a whole.
