Real Estate Agents (non)-o-plenty.
Well, not exactly. And I’m sure it’s not a “news” to your ears either. I just wanted to pose a question. Do you, as a San Diego home owner, future home owner, or if you’re a real estate agent in San Diego, think it’s a good thing for home buyers? A bad thing? Or do you think it won’t have an effect?
Take this perspective: More means lower prices.
What does that mean? In economics when there is a surplus of something that something tends to cost less overtime since it is no longer scarce. Would this same logic apply to real estate brokers/agents selling or buying homes?
One argument is yes, the more realtors the better because “then I can shop around for the agent that will charge less commission”.
Yet another side would say that when there are too many agents the quality also goes down.
